David Mattingly

David joined the Fund in 2005 as one of its first program officers and has over twenty years of experience in grantmaking to frontline human rights organizations around the world. David leads the Fund’s program team, directly manages the thematic program officers, and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of programs and representing the Fund’s program work externally. He is also the primary program contact for the Fund’s Board of Directors. He works particularly closely with the Grants Management team to manage risk and ensure effective grantmaking, and the Development and Communications Department to cultivate and steward funders.
