Ashleigh Mears is a Communications Officer at Sense International, the only NGO working globally to support people with deafblindness and their families to access healthcare, education, and livelihoods through programmes and advocacy. A graduate of International Relations, Ashleigh focused on examining prevailing post-colonial relations within international development. Ashleigh has led the organisation’s engagement with BOND’s Ethical Storytelling movement within its communications, and is passionate about decolonising narratives within international aid; throughout her work in communications, she is focused on shifting the power of storytelling into the hands of participants.
