Halima Begum is a British anti-racism activist and civil servant. In September 2020 she was appointed Director of the Runnymede Trust, having previously served in DFID.
She has over 20 years of experience in global development work specialising in social justice and education, working with a range of partners, the European Commission, United Nations, World Bank, NGOs, and with bilateral agencies. Worked and lived in Bangladesh, Bangladesh, China, Nepal and Indonesia on long term diplomatic assignments with the British government.
