In 2015, 193 countries agreed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a shared agenda for social, environmental and economic progress.

The 17 goals with its 169 targets apply universally, in all countries, and include an overarching commitment that no one should be left behind in their delivery.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development is a group of cross-party UK parliamentarians, co-chaired by Rt Hon Lord Jack McConnell and Theo Clarke MP, dedicated to championing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Parliament and across sectors.

The APPG has completed its first inquiry, addressing the UK’s progress on the SDGs in light of Covid-19, with contributions from over 50 organisations. The report is being launched to coincide with the UN General Assembly. In this webinar recording, you will hear the main findings of the report, including:

  • the impact that the pandemic has had on progress towards achieving the SDGs
  • how the SDGs provide an internationally agreed roadmap for recovery and what needs to happen next
