Zia ur Rehman is a distinguished development leader and founder of AwazCDS-Pakistan (1995), with decades of leadership in advancing democratic governance, civic space, and socio-economic rights across Pakistan and Asia. A globally recognized advocate, he has held influential roles within GCAP, TAP Network, A4SD, and Asia Development Alliance, and has represented civil society at the highest international platforms, including the United Nations. His work has driven landmark citizen-led accountability initiatives, SDG advocacy, and policy influence, earning international recognition, including nomination for the Nelson Mandela–Graça Machel Award. Currently he is serving as first Director and Secretary General of Asia Development Alliance.
