Hester Clark Co-Chairs the Bond Humanitarian Working group, facilitating discussions on humanitarian policies, programmes and funding, and supporting the engagement with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. She is also the Humanitarian Advocacy Advisor at HelpAge International, leading the organisation’s global advocacy work to mainstream knowledge and understanding of older people’s rights and needs in humanitarian crises, and promoting the inclusion of older people in humanitarian responses.

Prior to this, Hester worked in the Middle East, East Africa and Europe, working on refugee protection and the prevention of statelessness. Hester holds an MA in Law and a BA in Archaeology and Prehistory from the University of Sheffield, and a Professional Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University of Liverpool.
