Bond statement on the second anniversary of the 7th October attacks
7 October 2025 marks the second anniversary of the Hamas attacks on Israel. Two years on, the conflict in Gaza continues, with at least 67,160 Palestinians confirmed killed and Gaza enduring one of the most devastating humanitarian crises in our time.
Reflecting on the second anniversary of the 7th October attacks, Bond’s CEO Romilly Greenhill, said:
Two years on from 7th October, we remember all the lives lost and communities scarred by violence. We mourn the civilians killed that day and condemn the attacks that left families grieving and communities across Israel dealing with profound loss. We also condemn the relentless devastation in Gaza, where Israel’s actions constitute genocide under international law. Justice means recognising the humanity of all communities in the region – Israeli and Palestinian, Jewish, Muslim, Christian and all faiths – and demanding this violence ends. We will continue to speak out against violations of international law wherever they occur and call for accountability, civilian protection, and a just and lasting peace. We call for strict adherence to international humanitarian law, urgent release of all the hostages, and an end to the genocide.
ENDS.
