An activist for social justice and gender equality, Roberta Clarke is the President of the Coalition against Domestic Violence, Trinidad and Tobago. She is also a Commissioner of the Inter-American Commission for Human Rights for the period 2022-2025. She has led UN Women Offices in East and Southern Africa. Libya, Asia and the Pacific, and the Caribbean. In 2021, she was on the Interim Board of the Nobel Women’s Initiative and was the Chair, Executive Committee, International Commission of Jurists. Prior to her career at the United Nations, she practiced as a lawyer in Trinidad and Tobago.
