Mamata works at Traidcraft Exchange focussing on building peoples’ collective agency of power, people-centred programs, campaigns, alliances for rights & justice. She comes with two and half decades of working in the development sector and has extensively worked on the issues of human rights, gender, climate justice, land and forest rights. She has worked extensively on intersectionality of gender-power-social justice and has been actively engaging with social movements & networks. She is passionate about participatory processes to drive sustainable change, application of principles of shift the power and ensuring integration of gender, equity and inclusion in the work.
Mamata has engaged in building peoples institutions, influencing key local, regional and global spaces and is one of the leading voices on several human rights issues.
