Kate became Chair of Bond in January 2020. Previously Kate has held voluntary roles as a board member of the Association of Chairs, Charity Bank and Development Initiatives. For the majority of her working life Kate was an auditor and consultant to charities and international NGOs, having co-founded a charity specialist audit and advisory firm Sayer Vincent in the 1980s.
She is particularly interested in improving governance, risk management and decision-making, leading changes in culture to increase accountability to the people charities serve. Kate has just retired from her role as the Director of Integrity and Ethics at Oxfam.
