Franziska Schwarz

Safeguarding support adviser

Franziska Schwarz is Bond’s safeguarding support adviser. Franziska supports the work of the four Safeguarding Working Groups set up in conjunction with DFID and the Charity Commission after the Safeguarding Summit on 5 March to secure a sector-wide improvement in the quality and consistency of safeguarding for staff, volunteers, beneficiaries and partners engaged in development assistance and humanitarian aid. Franziska also supports the development and delivery of resources, communications and services which support NGOs to improve their safeguarding practice.

Before joining Bond she was senior coordinator at Local Trust and the programmes and partnerships manager at ALNAP (Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action). Prior to that Franziska worked in programme management and support roles at ODI and Amnesty International.
