Dr Keya Khandaker

Plan International’s Real Choices, Real Lives study

Dr Keya Khandaker is the Research Manager and Project Lead for Plan International’s Real Choices, Real Lives study and has also led the State of the World’s Girls research series. She holds a PhD from the University of Leeds, completed in collaboration with the Overseas Development Institute’s Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence (GAGE) study, focusing on youth agency, gender-equality norms, and the SDGs. Her academic and professional work builds on years as a champion of youth-led advocacy for gender equality, including roles with Plan International UK’s Youth Advisory Panel and Restless Development’s SDG Accountability Advocates initiative.
