GISF

Chiara works as Research Advisor at GISF, a network of over 130 international NGOs focused on improving access for crisis-affected populations through the protection of aid workers, programmes and organisations. As Research Advisor, Chiara develops practical and original research, along with best practice guides to help humanitarian organisations face security risks. She is particularly interested in topics around acceptance and NGO’s relationships with communities, humanitarian access and equitable NGO partnerships. Chiara previously worked on policy and context analyses of conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and researched civilian displacement dynamics and transitional justice issues in Syria. She holds an MA in Conflict, Security and Development from King’s College, London and a BA in International Studies specialising in the Middle East and North America (MENA) from Leiden University.
