Charlotte Bray joined CAFOD’s Board of Trustees in 2018. She has recently taken up the role of trustee lead for Racial Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Before she joined the Board, Charlotte had volunteered with CAFOD for many years and had become a committed supporter.
Charlotte has a First B.A. Hons in Theology and Religion, a Masters in Christian Theology, and is now a PhD candidate at Durham University. Her research interests lie in Catholic social thought and the systematic theology underlying Christian ethical thinking. She is particularly interested in how liberation theologies can constructively develop Catholic social teaching and practice.
Charlotte previously worked as the outreach assistant for the Centre for Catholic Social Thought and Practice. She was also a teaching assistant for ‘Topics in Christian Ethics’, an undergraduate module in the Department of Theology and Religion at Durham University. Charlotte is passionate about engaging with people on matters to do with social justice, faith, and ethics.
