Bond (sole) Consultant membership agreement
Joining, renewing and leaving Bond
- To be eligible for membership, a consultant must be: non-partisan and non-governmental.
- Eligible consultants must have only one employee within their company, have a Companies House record, and provide details of all organisations they have consulted for in the last 2 years.
- Membership allows access to a single employee. Access is non-transferrable.
- Membership to be renewed on an annual basis from the membership start date.
- The fee for individual consultant’s membership is a flat rate of £150 annually.
- Membership fees to be paid in advance by BACS transfer and in accordance with the payment terms specified on the invoice (usually two weeks). If the membership fee is not paid on time, Bond reserves the right to cancel the membership.
- Cancellation of membership to occur in writing by the end of the lapsed period (for current lapsed period timeframe (usually 6 weeks from membership end date), contact [email protected]). If cancellation occurs past the lapsed period, Bond reserves the right to charge the annual membership fee.
Bond obligations
- To provide a range of member services and benefits, including, but not limited to, those detailed on the website: https://www.bond.org.uk/join/become-a-member/.
- To communicate regularly with members to highlight opportunities for them to engage and get active in the network.
- To hold an Annual General Meeting to enable members to review the work of Bond, and at which the organisation’s finances, current progress on the strategy and plans for the future are presented for discussion and examination. Consultant members do not have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.
- To communicate and give notification of when member renewal is due approximately six weeks in advance and during the renewal period and once after the membership has lapsed (membership end date has passed).
- To adhere to the Bond’s Articles of Association (Bond’s governing document) and Privacy Policy: https://www.bond.org.uk/privacy-policy/.
Member obligations
- To participate in Bond’s member community as much as their resource enables. This includes joining working groups, writing a blog, attending events and contributing to policy/advocacy discussions.
- To commit to the common vision, purpose, values and principles of the Bond network as stated in the Bond Charter https://www.bond.org.uk/charter/
- Access to a consultant membership is solely for use as a single consultant. You are strictly prohibited from sharing, sublicensing, or otherwise permitting customers, employees, clients, other consultants or any third parties to use or access Bond services via your account.
- To either renew their membership or cancel their membership at the end of the annual cycle. If the member wishes to cancel, they should notify Bond in writing before their current membership ends.
- Consultant members agree that they shall not, unless directly requested by another Bond member, discuss or share information about their own services in a manner intended to generate business, leads, or commercial advantage. This restriction applies to all communications, posts, messages, and content shared within or in connection with the Bond Network.
