AI4NGO

AI4NGO is a pioneering initiative born out of a vision to democratise the power of artificial intelligence for the nonprofit sector. We want to understand how AI might shape the future—its opportunities and risks. By exploring potential scenarios and sharing what we know, we help NGOs understand what is available to them so they can work with AI to best serve their communities. AI4NGO empowers civil society organisations to harness the transformative potential of AI to increase their impact and address critical global and local challenges. By building a collaboration network with multidisciplinary experts, data scientists, and corporate partners, we want to enable NGOs to harness AI responsibly and drive sustainable progress in their missions. The focus lies on active and practical learning: as we offer many public events, webinars, and shared resources. At the moment, we have an ongoing series of public events, some of which are workshops that specifically focus on AI tools or skills such as prompting techniques. We also offer webinars on topics more related to the ethical concerns of our audience– touching on human rights, environment, and even religion– as they relate to AI. More recently, we have also developed a learning platform for AI Literacy called SkillLab, which provides participants with a certification related to comprehension of the EU AI Act. Lastly, we have a Strategic AI Advisory program to assist NGOs in more depth.
