Sightsavers is an international organisation that works in more than 30 developing countries to prevent blindness, restore sight and advocate for equal rights for people with disabilities. In the seventy years since its foundation, Sightsavers has supported over 1.1 billion treatments for neglected tropical diseases, carried out over 10.2 million operations to restore sight, trained more than 795,000 primary eye care workers, carried out rehabilitation training for almost 226,000 people who are blind or have low vision, and supported almost 63,000 children who are blind or have low vision to gain a school education.
