Campaigning wins across the globe

Olivier Room
Monday, March 18, 2019 -
11:15 to 12:45

With charities facing increasing scrutiny on how they campaign and what they can say publicly, it’s easy to assume that campaigning breakthroughs are rare.

In this session, campaigners from across global civil society will share and celebrate their successes in effecting change over the last few years. We'll hear from campaigners who worked on the Together for Yes campaign in Ireland, the campaign to decriminalise homosexuality in India, and Greenpeace's Protect the Antarctic campaign.

You’ll hear tips and experiences on how to run effective campaigns despite barriers, charity restrictions and government opposition.

This session is for: professionals working in campaigning, mobilisation, communications and capacity building.
