Breaking stereotypes to tell authentic stories

Windsor Room
Tuesday, March 19, 2019 - 10:45 to 12:15

NGO communications can inadvertently perpetuate stereotypes about the developing world and portray people in an undignified way.

This session explores how these depictions shape public perceptions and how we can challenge these stereotypes in our communications. You’ll get new ideas and approaches to ensure you tell people’s stories authentically and better engage audiences.

This session is for: professionals working in communications, campaigning and advocacy.
