Protecting Children's Rights Worldwide
An alternative report on the UK’s extraterritorial obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Thursday, October 1, 2015
The report provides an NGO perspective on the progress made by the UK government in implementing the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
The UK is not only under an obligation to promote children’s rights through its provision of overseas aid, but also to ensure the protection of children’s rights throughout its activities abroad (ie within its external policy). Therefore, this report is structured around two main sections, providing examples and case studies, to advocate for more space to be given to child rights.
