Sue Wicks joined Comic Relief in 2009 and is currently the head of investments and grants, providing strategic leadership of the organisation’s global portfolio of philanthropic investments.
She has responsibility for the annual investment budget of £60-£90m, ensuring it is leveraged and spent to achieve greatest social impact across the agreed themes and in line with eligibility criteria.
She is accountable for the teams working on government-funded partnerships, partnerships with trusts, foundations and corporates, sport for change, social tech and unrestricted funding.
From 2000 -2007, Sue worked at the Big Lottery Fund, managing the £500m UK wide PE and sport in schools programme and for two years as head of programmes at vinspired, working with young people to develop and launch the small grants programme vcashpoint. She is a Trustee at Women in Sport.
