Sophie is a member of the board of trustees of Protimos, an organisation of development lawyers who provide access to law and legal education for impoverished and marginalised communities in resource rich emerging economies. She is a member of the Development Committee of Protimos. Sophie previously served as a trustee and chair of the Governance Committee of Sentebale, the charity founded by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso in 2006 for the provision of psychosocial support for children living with HIV in Southern Africa. Sophie is also co-founder of The Black British Business Awards, the only premium recognition of its kind which celebrates the often unsung outstanding achievements and contributions of black people in businesses operating in Great Britain.
She is an executive director and EMEA chief administrative officer of the Legal and Compliance Division, at Morgan Stanley, and previously worked as senior corporate finance lawyer at Virgin Money and Baker & McKenzie advising significant multinational corporations. Sophie has been shortlisted for the Women of the Future Awards, featured in Financial News’ editorial pick of 40 Rising Stars in the European legal profession aged under 40 and recognised as one of the top 100 most influential Black Britons on the Power List 2014, 2015 and 2016.
