Roland is a director on the Corporate Banking Charities Team at Barclays and has significant experience in supporting the humanitarian aid and development sector.
He has lots of experience in helping clients deliver aid programming, including in high risk and sanctioned countries, and in getting funds to challenging locations.
With the support of his clients, Roland was instrumental in designing Barclays' extended due diligence process for charities, to help the bank understand the risk faced and ensure good financial crime governance. Multiple training and webinar sessions have also been delivered and a guide published to support the sector, in conjunction with Barclays Financial Crime Team.
Roland represents Barclays on the Tri-sector Working Group, organised by HM Home Office.
