Mary Woodgate is an executive in the Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP) group which delivers Accenture’s global capabilities in strategy, digital, operations and technology consulting to support international development organisations to drive measurable and efficient impact. Mary leads the London team for ADP and is a trusted advisor to purpose-driven organisations across public, private and nonprofit sectors.
Mary has 16 years of strategy and technology consulting experience, the past decade of which have been focused on international development. As part of the Accenture Development Partnerships team, Mary has been responsible for designing and overseeing over 60 projects with a range of clients including iNGOs, UN agencies, Donors, and Foundations. Mary oversees ADP’s relationships with DFID, Oxfam, Save the Children, World Vision, Wateraid, Sightsavers and others. Areas of thematic passion for Mary include collaboration & partnerships, private-sector-enabled development, gender issues, WASH and NTDs.
Over the past 10+ years, Mary and the ADP team have supported international development organisations in designing and implementing digital & mobile solutions. For example Accenture’s experience with partnerships and mobile came together with AMREF, mPESA Foundation and the Government of Kenya to help create HELP, the mHealth learning platform developed by a public private partnership for health workers across Africa.
Mary has contributed to Accenture’s series of Development Convergence papers such Convergence Economy: Rethinking International Development in a Converging World and to reports such as Connected Women: How mobile can support women's economic and social empowerment (with Vodafone) SheforShield: Insure Women to Better Protect All (with AXA & IFC). Mary is a level 1 accredited partnership broker (TPI) and sits on the corporate advisory board for the One Planet MBA at Exeter University Business School.
