Youth For Change

Larissa Kennedy, 19, is the UK’s representative to the Global Secretariat at Youth For Change. This is a project supported by Plan International that works on gender-based violence, currently focusing on FGM and child marriage. Larissa was elected to the British Youth Council’s Trustee Board in September 2017. Here, she champions youth voice at a local, national and international level.

Larissa is reading Politics, International Studies and Hispanic Studies at the University of Warwick and is president and co-president of the anti-racism and anti-sexism societies there, respectively. Barclays featured her at Number 63 on the 2017 edition of their "Future 100" List of the most influential women at UK universities.

Larissa writes for BEBB: Be Educated Be Bold, an online media platform that specialises in raising topics that young people are not taught in schools and she is also an active member of Girlguiding, working on membership growth and retention, campaigns and ambassadorial endeavours on behalf of its London & South East regions.
