Katharina Hammler is the director of monitoring and evaluation at Fundación Paraguaya, a self-sustainable NGO spearheading microfinance and entrepreneurship in Paraguay and the world. She works on multidimensional poverty measurement and the role of aspirations in eliminating poverty – both features of Fundación Paraguaya’s Poverty Stoplight, a metric and a methodology that enables families to assess their level of poverty and to carry out personalized strategies to overcome their specific deprivations.

Katharina has studied Economics, Socioeconomics, and Political Sciences in Vienna and holds a PhD in International Development from Tulane University.
