Jessie Macneil-Brown leads The Body Shop’s global campaigns, and in just 15 months the Forever Against Animal Testing campaign secured over 8 million signatures from customers worldwide. Last October Jessie represented these voices and The Body Shop at several events at the United Nations connecting the issue to the Sustainable Development Goals. With experience in leading global campaigns at Amnesty International and The Body Shop, Jessie also led the The Body Shop’s successful campaign Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People which secured over 7 million signatures globally and changed legislation in 24 countries.
A key team member behind The Body Shop’s new purpose and global activism strategy, Jessie works to ensure that the company’s campaigns and corporate responsibility activities are implemented across customer facing communications to increase brand profile and customer engagement, including The Body Shop’s 3,000 stores in 70 countries.
A passionate feminist, Jessie spends her spare time as chairwoman of a UK human rights theatre group, launched the Tower Hamlets branch of the Women’s Equality Party in 2017, ran as a local candidate in 2018, and is a founding member of the UK board for Global Fund For Women.
