Jane is currently Head of Network Development at HelpAge International, a new role designed to optimise the impact, strategic development visibility, cohesion and functioning of the HelpAge Global Network. The network currently represents over 115 organisations working with and for older people in over 70 countries. Members are actively engaged in advancing the rights and improving the lives of older women and men in their own countries and internationally.
Previously, as the Director of Advocacy and Communications at HelpAge International for five years, Jane led the development of a Global Advocacy Agenda to mainstream ageing into policy and practice including making ageing visible in the Sustainable Development Goals. A key strategy has been to strengthen the voice of older men and women and to build global and local movements of activists that can mobilise to effect change.
