Irit Houvras is director for strategic learning, research and evaluation at the American Jewish World Service. Irit leads the monitoring and evaluation of AJWS’s work and facilitates evidence-based learning and strategy development. She is an innovator in the measurement of global social movement and human rights work. Prior to joining AJWS, Irit worked in global health for over 15 years. She has expertise in M&E, qualitative research, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights, and has worked internationally with community, national and multi-country programs. Irit earned an MPH in international health from Tulane University, and a BA in anthropology from Beloit College.
