Eric Gutierrez has been a member of Christian Aid’s policy team since 2010. Prior to this, he was based in Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, and South Africa, working for other INGOs.

A Philippine national, he has done field work and authored books on the conflict, peace process, crime and armed actors in the Muslim-majority areas of southern Philippines. He currently manages Christian Aid’s contributions to a GCRF-funded research project led by SOAS to find answers to the question “how do war economies transform into peace economies?” via case studies from Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Colombia.
