Elaine Stevenson

Elaine has over 25 years experience working in international development, on all levels, in Indonesia, Africa, India and Nepal, and in most sectors.

Elaine began her career in Indonesia with VSO for 6 years, culminating in her role as acting director, then gained an MA in Social Anthropology of Development from SOAS.

Elaine has managed and developed many international programmes while working with: VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas); Skillshare International; ICS (International Citizen Service) volunteering programme for young people; VAL (Voluntary Action Leicestershire); Special Olympics (as Volunteering Director); and Working Healthy Futures (formerly Fit for Work Team).

Her roles have involved working closely with all major institutional donors, (especially DFID, EC, Comic Relief, Big Lottery and Irish Aid), and many trusts, foundations and corporates, culminating in her role as programme director funding and compliance at Skillshare International.
