As Communications Officer, Cléo advocates for children's right to participate in all decisions which affect them. She comes from a background in journalism and is committed to working on human rights, particularly women’s and children’s rights. She has published articles in English and French, covering issues such as the situation of Afghan women, the mass rapes in Haiti in 2011, and the impact of child marriages. After studying Politics and Social Sciences in France, Cléo completed a Masters degree in Gender and International Development at the University of Warwick in 2013. She has also previously worked for Childreach International and Women's Forum for the Economy and Society.

Climate change poses severe threats to children's survival and wellbeing, health, food security and nutrition, and access to education. It also compounds drivers of insecurity, which in turn leads to more children being at risk of violence.
