Chris Anderson has managed Practical Action’s Floods Resilience Programme since 2014. The programme, funded by the Z Zurich Foundation, is entering its second 5 year phase and is part of a wider collaboration with 9 other members which together form the Zurich Floods Resilience Alliance.
In addition to managing the programme Chris handles the donor relationship with the Z Zurich Foundation and chairs the Alliance Team Leaders Forum tasked with co-ordination and technical oversight across the alliance.
Prior to joining Practical Action Chris worked for almost 20 years at Oxfam, first on the Humanitarian Programme as a manager and then as a DRR and Resilience lead in the Programme Policy Unit. He was instrumental in developing Oxfam’s thinking on DRR and resilience and in mainstreaming the approach across the Oxfam International Programme. Chris also conceived and managed the Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance.
