Originally from north Wales, Brân studied International Relations at the University of Bradford Peace Studies Department before becoming a current affairs journalist at ITV Wales. He then went on to work in Public Relations in the environmental sector with the Countryside Council for Wales and then Natural Resources Wales.
After completing an International Learning Opportunity placement in Maseru, Lesotho, Brân decided that he would look for a position in the International Development sector and found a role with the newly formed Hub Cymru Africa in Cardiff in May 2015.
He has an interest in current affairs and has spent time volunteering, working and travelling across Europe and in Cameroon and Lesotho. Brân visited Nicaragua as part of a delegation looking at a variety of issues including Fair Trade, deforestation and water privatisation.
He is a member of the Bond International Development Communications steering group and is a keen advocate of the practices outlined in the Narrative Project. When not in the office Brân can often be found walking the mountains and coast of Wales looking for adventure.
