Angharad Evans is an experienced humanitarian and development professional. Her academic background includes an MSc in International Development (Distinction), a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and BA (Hons) in English Literature. She has worked across a wide range of organisations and countries as a fieldworker and as a specialist in humanitarian learning and development.
Angharad has been designing and delivering learning solutions for over eight years, giving her a broad and deep understanding of the sector. She is deeply committed to supporting access to quality learning opportunities for organisations and individuals in places which hard to reach and experience protracted crises. Her focus is on experiential learning, in particular exploring opportunities to incorporate simulation exercises and embedding elements of Social Learning into her practice.
She played a key role in the development of the HPass Humanitarian Learning Standards, designed to better support humanitarian professional development and to uphold best practice in learning provision.
Angharad’s recent course facilitation includes: Advanced Project Cycle Management; Monitoring & Evaluating in Emergencies; Managing People & Projects in Emergencies; Delivering Effective Aid Programmes; Proposal & Report Writing; Social Leadership; International Child Protection Training; Village Savings and Loans Associations; and helping organisations to get fit for the social age through adaptive leadership, learning, culture and technology.
