Ana is the Research and Partnerships Adviser for the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) initiative. Her current work with GODAN involves evidence and mapping research, open data, partnerships, the geospatial web, and data standards. Previously, Ana worked on participatory mapping in Africa-Caribbean-Pacific countries, open contracting, crowdmapping in urban communities, geovisualizing trauma injuries, and representing informal communities with free and open source software tools.
Ana obtained a graduate degree in Geography from McGill University. Her MA research was based at the intersection of crisis mapping, community development, the geospatial web and mobile technology to determine the importance of local places for urban communities in Canada.
