Trustee - Cord

This role is not salaried, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed
Closing date: 26 May 2021
Job Type: Unpaid trustee
Location: Coventry
Cord is an international charity working to make peace a reality where people don’t have the freedom to exercise their rights. We work to build the relationship between those in power and local communities.

Opportunities have arisen on the Board for new trustees and we are seeking individuals to become Board members who share Cord’s vision. Individuals who have a good grasp of governance, understand the voluntary sector and are commercially astute. The right candidates will be natural networkers with strong connections and who have the ability to bring people together to work collaboratively, particularly in sourcing additional funding streams.

We are particularly looking for trustees with current experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Finance (Chair of Finance Committee)
  • Law
  • Human Resources
  • Knowledge/experience of Cord's Countries of Operation

Cord is governed by a Board whose members are the Directors of the Company and Trustees of the Charity, and who support the operational growth of the organisation through deliberation, prayer and decision-making. There is a genuine and determining occupational requirement (under the Equality Act 2010) that Cord’s Trustees are Christian.
