As part of the Philanthropy and Trusts team you'll be an integral member growing WaterAids valuable trust relationships and contribute to the team strategy and our ambitious growth plan, including £6.5 million target for 2018-19.

With experience securing and stewarding £150,000+ trust partnerships, you will manage and maximise a varied portfolio of influential foundations, and oversee the complexities of restricted grants and donor requirements.  

Job Description

In this role you will develop new business and drive WaterAids Engagement with Trusts and Foundations

You will:

  • Provide quality relationship management accross a diverse portfolio of valuable and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop high quality funding propositions and manage complex restricted grants in line with donors requirements.
  • Build sustainable pipeline of new business prospects and opportunities, with diverse funding sources and balanced accounts across solicitation stages.
  • Develop and lead the new business engagement plan focusing on driving regional and opportunities worth more than £100,000 per annum.  

Person Specification

To be successful you'll need to:

  • Have a proven ability to manage a successful trust and foundation portfolio, achieve targets as part of a strategic plan and maximise income from new business.
  • Be able to develop strong relationships with trusts, identifying opportunities for growth and innovative engagement.
  • Have experience managing the complexities of restricted income projects, including budget and log frames
  • Have extensive experience of compelling proposal and report writing for a trust audience
