Itad is a leading international development consultancy providing advice to governments, foundations, multilateral agencies and non-profits on how to maximise the impact of their investments. We have a 30-year track record of providing our clients with the information and insight they need to make development work smarter, produce better results and improve people’s lives.
The Health team oversee a dynamic and rapidly evolving portfolio focused around five core areas of expertise; health systems strengthening (HSS), adolescent, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), global health security, global health strategy and tropical diseases. We are a learning partner for global funders investing in evaluating health systems strengthening, evaluate youth-led design for SRHR solutions and help Gavi develop a theory-based strategic framework for its investments, and an evaluator of anti-microbial resistance with the Fleming Fund.
We are recruiting for a senior consultant to join our 15-strong Human Development practice, and focus on supporting the learning and evaluation agenda of our SRHR projects, in particular as a learning lead embedded within Marie Stopes International three days a week. This role will be pivotal to Itad’s position as learning partner under the FCDO UK Aid Connect SRHR programme tasked with two innovative pilots: 1) to increase resilience in climate change affected communities through integrated SRHR, conservation, and livelihoods programming; and 2) to improve the continuum of care surrounding comprehensive SRH services in fragile and conflict affected settings. This role will entail translating the findings from a realist evaluation into adaptive management of the interventions through the consortium, so sits in a very exciting ‘evidence to action’ space between a cutting edge evaluation approach and novel SRH service implementation. It is anticipated that remainder of the role (two days per week) will be designed to support our process evaluation of Adolescents 360, a design centred livelihoods SRHR programme, and/or our role as learning partner to WISH, the flagship SRHR FCDO project.
You will ideally have a relevant post-graduate degree a proven track record within the international development or research sector, preferably in SRHR, learning and adaptive management, or another related health area.
The core technical strengths of all our consultants are focused around four key areas:
We are offering a competitive salary for this role up to £42K plus benefits including a comprehensive learning and development programme, 24 days holiday plus additional time off over Christmas and a matched company pension up to 5%.
The role is primarily based from the Marie Stopes offices in London and our offices offices in Brighton but will largely work remotely for the foreseeable future. You will need to travel to both locations when we are able to and will already have the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions
The deadline for receiving CVs with cover letters is 12 March, but please note we will be interviewing successful candidates on a rolling basis.
Please mention Bond when you apply for this position.
