Cricket Builds Hope (“CBH”), a UK registered charity, requires a new Project Director to lead the organisation and drive its growth. This cricket for change charity currently has the twin objectives of running programmes focussed on using cricket as a tool for social change in Rwanda and securing the future maintenance and operation of the Gahanga Cricket Stadium (“the Stadium”), which it fundraised to build.
CBH is now looking to run a year-long programme using cricket to spread messages on sexual health to adolescents and has also run a life skills cricket camp for school children. Separately we are supervising a programme which is introducing cricket to three rural communities centred on tea estates and is sponsored by Yorkshire Tea.
The role of the CBH Project Director will be hugely challenging, but immensely exciting and rewarding. The role will be based in Kigali, Rwanda, and responsible for all aspects of CBH, including overall leadership and driving growth, and achieving its stated twin objectives. As our only current full-time employee in Rwanda, the Project Director will both represent CBH and lead the implementation of CBH’s programme activities on the ground.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in the design, delivery, and management of sports for change programmes (ideally involving cricket), writing grant applications to fund them plus business/NGO administration experience.
Applications should be made on the form obtained via the Apply Now link and according to the directions at the end of the full job description attached.
All applications must be made according to the instructions in the final paragraph of the attached Job Description.
