Are you an experienced leader with effective influencing skills? Do you have experience of designing and delivering campaigning and advocacy programmes in different countries?

We are recruiting the National Influencing Team Lead who, together with their team, will ensure the team’s purpose and identity is clearly integrated within the Programme Strategy & Impact team and synergies articulated with the Campaign, Policy and Influencing team. You will lead the delivery of Oxfam GBs agreed plan to scale up and improve the quality of influencing, advocacy and campaigns in developing countries, coordinating with and facilitating the engagement of relevant teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation and broader Oxfam confederation. The main focus of the role is on generating more and more effective influencing within our country programmes and strengthening links to international advocacy and campaigns to boost Oxfam’s influence.

You will be a member of the Programme Strategy and Impact Team Leadership Team, contributing to the overall delivery of PSIT mission, vision and strategy.

We are looking for someone with senior level experience of leading, designing and delivering influencing, campaigning and advocacy programmes/initiatives in more than one country in the global South. You will have a demonstrable understanding of all aspects of campaigning and advocacy - strategy and power analysis, public campaigning and mobilisation, policy, lobbying, research and media work - with substantial experience in at least half of these. You will also have experience of developing influencing strategies in humanitarian and development programming and linking this to opportunities to achieve change nationally and through engagement in global campaigns.  In addition to your ability to think strategically, you will show an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving, learning and knowledge sharing, with strong cultural and gender sensitivity. You will be comfortable working across various complex networks, and experimenting with new business models. 

You will also have experience in managing people and budgets and in building high performing multi-cultural teams and have the proven ability to work collaboratively with others across multiple countries, cultures and organisations.
