We are recruiting a lead consultant to join our successful and expanding NCVO Charities Evaluation Services team.

Full-time (35 hours per week)

Permanent contract

We are recruiting a lead consultant to join our successful and expanding NCVO Charities Evaluation Services team.  We are looking for someone who shares our passion for making the voluntary sector more effective, supporting organisations to learn, develop and strengthen the work they do.

Our team of consultants deliver evaluation, impact or strategy to our clients. As an experienced evaluator, you will have a significant track record in undertaking evaluations and supporting self-evaluation, primarily within the UK voluntary sector.

This is a key role involving both management and direct service delivery. With solid line management experience, you will coach and develop staff, and supervise associate consultants effectively, while delivering consultancy projects within budgets and deadlines.

With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will confidently build strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external clients. You are experienced in collaborative working as well as working autonomously. You are someone who can get things done internally as well for our clients, while bringing your team and clients with you.

We are a fast-moving and high-performing team; the life of a consultant is busy. You are highly organised, managing multiple projects simultaneously. We know that a work-life balance is important – our work isn’t always a strict 9-5 and many in our team work flexibly to accommodate commuting, families and other commitments and interests.

The voluntary sector is rapidly changing and our team is on the frontline helping voluntary organisations respond. Our work is deeply rewarding as we see our clients become more effective in their work with individuals and communities across England.

NCVO is fully committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in our sector.  We want this to be reflected in the diversity of the people who work for us, and we welcome applications from people from all backgrounds.
