The International Projects Officer is responsible for coordinating, managing and delivering a range of international development and global health projects, working with hospitals and laboratories in low to middle income countries.

International Projects Officer Full time, Permanent City of London £33,000 per annum

Having recently received the title of International Collaboration of the Year for its LabSkills Africa initiative at the Times Higher Education Awards in 2016, this is an opportunity to join an award-winning team, working to strengthen pathology and laboratory medicine services in low to middle income countries. 

In this busy and dynamic role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of diverse global health projects, initiatives and partnerships within the College’s International Department. You will work closely with the International Manager to implement the College’s ‘Pathology is Global’ International Strategy, contribute to the international partnership-building process, manage a range of stakeholder relationships and support the College’s donor reporting and accountability responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of global health issues and international development work.  You will have previous experience of supporting the delivery of international development or health projects, including managing multi-stakeholder relationships, project development, organising international meetings and events, as well as project evaluation and donor reporting.   Some international travel may be necessary.

The Royal College of Pathologists is a professional membership organisation working to advance the science and practice of pathology.  Members are doctors and scientists working in hospitals and laboratories, and 20% of members are based overseas.
