International Business Development Manager

Circa £37.5k

Head Office- London with frequent overseas travel

About the Role

We have an ambitious, but well-planned growth strategy for our International operations.  In this role you will lead on our Institutional Funding Strategy, ensuring that the Programme Development and Resourcing Team maximises income in the context of the International Strategy and achieves high levels of success.

You will lead on institutional strategy, project development and on the preparation and submission of institutional funding proposals to donors including DFID, USAID and the EU.

You will line manage one London based post and consultants and work closely with regionally based team members.  You will provide oversight, or lead, programme development processes and provide technical support on programmes.  You will have a lead role in the identification and development of strategic partnerships and lead or oversee our consortium bids.

About You

Ideally educated to degree level or able to demonstrate a similar level of insight and experience, you will have demonstrable experience of implementing institutional funding strategies.

You will have experience of working in an international NGO and of developing and sustaining external partnerships and networks. You will bring significant experience of leading design processes to develop new programmes.  You will have a strong track record of preparing and submitting successful proposals to institutional donors.

You will have a strong commitment to working within a safeguarding framework together with an understanding of equal rights and equal opportunities.

You will possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills along with analytical and problem-solving skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required including public speaking and workshop facilitation, along with strong programme management skills and a good understanding of impact measurement.
