Bond is the UK membership body for organisations working in international development or supporting those that do so through funding, research, training and other services. Our network is growing and we now have over 420 organisations in membership, and many thousands of individuals engaged with our network through special interest groups, international campaigns, events and conferences.
The political and operating environment for our members has become increasingly complex and uncertain. Global forces are challenging the status quo, requiring our members to adapt and innovate in order to remain relevant. Building on the tools, services and examples co-produced with our network, we support better monitoring, evaluation, evidence use, learning, transparency and accountability. Bond has a long track record of helping our network to be a collective force for positive change, working with civil society organisations and other stakeholders to achieve development outcomes that affect the lives of the millions of people living in poverty.
The main purpose of this role is to support the work of the Effectiveness and Learning Team, in strengthening the ability of international development organisations to innovate, adapt and learn. The role will also provide administrative support for internal functions such as monitoring of Bond’s services and systems support for Bond’s fundraising. The post sits within Bond’s Effectiveness and Learning Team of seven, whose work focuses on organisational effectiveness, funding, transparency and accountability, foresight and innovation. The Effectiveness and Futures Assistant will work alongside and be managed by Bond’s Effectiveness and Learning Adviser, who is responsible for running Bond’s programme on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL).
