As Director of Advocacy you will lead a team of policy, campaigns, public affairs and youth engagement specialists to achieve change for children.

12 months maternity cover;  commencing February 2018

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

We’re searching for a passionate and determined advocate for children’s rights, with extensive experience of influencing at the highest levels to achieve change to attitudes, policies and practices. 

As Director of Advocacy you will lead a team of policy, campaigns, public affairs and youth engagement specialists delivering effective influencing strategies on children’s rights issues. You will have a good understanding of key policy and political debates affecting the human rights, development and humanitarian sectors and a track record of leading major, integrated campaigns and initiatives that bring about real change.

This is a fixed term 12 month post to cover maternity leave.
