You will work across the whole organisation, providing practical, hands-on communications expertise to lead the implementation of FIGO’s new multi-channel communications strategy, including web and social media, press releases and position statements, speeches, production of newsletters, reports, corporate literature in order to enhance FIGO’s global leadership role amongst the global women’s health and SDGs community.

Key responsibilities will include:
•Increasing the reach and impact of FIGO’s global brand profile and visibility through the planning, implementation and analysis of high quality, engaging digital communications.
•To oversee the development of social media and user generated content on FIGO’s sites and external sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
•To lead organisation-wide digital marketing and support specific campaigns through the use of SEO and PPC advertising.
•Managing production of media releases, position statements, speeches, production of newsletters, reports, corporate literature and PR materials.
•Manage and direct FIGO’s corporate style, design resource, ensuring the effective scheduling of deliverables, and maintaining brand, messaging, and tone of voice consistency.
•Ensuring that FIGO content is shared with and promoted by other stakeholders where appropriate
•Commissioning professional photographers and film makers to collect content for FIGO
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
•Experience working in a senior communications role within an international NGO environment
•Community / member engagement experience
•Excellent presentation skills across a variety of media
•An understanding of design and print production, PR and media relations techniques, brand development, digital marketing and online communications
•A successful record of effective and respectful partnership working with key stakeholders
•Educated to degree level in a sustainable development / women’s health discipline
