PHASE Worldwide is a Bristol based charity that believes everyone, everywhere, even those in the world’s most remote places should have access to primary healthcare, education, and livelihoods opportunities. We think that poor health, low levels of education, and few livelihood opportunities create a cycle that prevents people from a life outside of poverty. This is why, with our partner, we empower remote communities in Nepal through integrated and sustainable programmes across the three areas of health, education, and livelihoods.
PHASE Worldwide is recruiting an individual with a legal background to join our Governance and HR Committee.
PHASE Worldwide has a full Trustee Board of 8 Trustees with four committees. These include: Organisational Development and Partnerships, Fundraising and Communications, Finance and Risk, and Governance and HR.
Each committee is chaired by a Trustee and has at least 2 members who are also trustees. Committees aim to meet every eight weeks and a minimum of four times a year. The committees can make recommendations to the board for agreement by exception, but not final decisions. The Board manages risk collectively and uses committees to support PHASE Worldwide’s work and charitable objectives.
