Bond is looking for a dynamic and visionary Chair of the Board, who can build on the great work that has been undertaken over the last few years.

Bond is the UK network for organisations working in international development. We unite and support a diverse network of over 400 civil society organisations to help eradicate global poverty, inequality and injustice. We strengthen and champion the sector to make international development more efficient and effective. We work to influence governments and policy-makers, develop the skills of people in the sector, share expertise, and build organisational capacity and partnerships.
 
The Chair of Bond is a member and leader of the Bond Board of Trustees. In addition to the general responsibilities of a trustee, the Chair of Bond is tasked with specific duties as set out in this document.  The Chair may delegate some of her/his duties to the Vice Chairs or others on the Board as appropriate.
 
Bond is looking for a dynamic and visionary Chair of the Board, who can build on the great work that has been undertaken over the last few years. Through its experienced Board, through the collaboration of its members and through its committed, intelligent and skilled staff, Bond has conspicuously delivered at a level beyond its scale and resources. 

We are now looking for a Chair that can take Bond further, as it begins an exciting new strategy phase.   With a new Chair and Chief Executive, Bond can build on its strong foundations and provide support to international development organisations to thrive, act as a strong voice for the sector and ensure that Bond continues to be relevant in a period of dynamic change.

The closing date for applications is 9am BST on 25th June 2019. Perrett Laver will conduct an executive search process in parallel with the public advertisement of the role.
