In the ten years since ClientEarth was established it has grown to be a £13M organisation, driven by the hard work and dedication of the fundraising and development teams. Looking ahead, there is a need to diversify and expand the income stream away from the current funding base in order to build a resilient and more robust funding portfolio. The newly created position of Business Development Manager will drive this forward and we are looking for an exceptionally dynamic and dedicated individual to lead this work.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, the Business Development Manager will have responsibility for diversifying and growing the organisations income stream from a range of new and existing sources. Coupled with this will be an opportunity to forge new partnerships with other key players who we can collaborate with to achieve real and meaningful change.
The post holder will have significant experience of working in a fundraising or business development role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity. Experience of drafting proposals, securing funding from foundations/other funding institutions and knowledge of budgeting and organisational finances are essential. S/he will also have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with ability to foster positive working relationships with diverse internal and external individuals including and especially with funders.
